Proton Huber Competition will make its Gulf 12 Hours debut with a trio of drivers sharing the wheel of its Porsche 911 GT3 R at Yas Marina Circuit.
The German squad are proven winners in national Porsche competitions and have also taken on the challenge of the highly-competitive Porsche Super Cup, which supports Formula 1 Grands Prix.
The team will cap a busy and successful 2024 season by appearing for the first time at the Gulf region’s premier GT endurance race, taking place in Abu Dhabi on 15 December.
German driver Sven Müller, a Porsche factory driver, partners with experienced GT racer Sergey Stolyarov and Sergei Borisov, who has already enjoyed success in endurance racing with Proton Huber Competition.
The three will take the wheel of Proton Huber Competition’s striking blue and black Porsche 911 GT3 R as part of an exciting grid of competitors for the 2024 Gulf 12 Hours, with more names expected to be announced in the coming days.
The 2024 Gulf 12 Hours will break new ground with a new two-part race format, starting with an eight-hour endurance race and finishing – after a two-hour break – with a four-hour sprint to the chequered flag.
In keeping with the event’s focus on gentleman drivers, new driver line-up rules ensure at least one Bronze or Silver driver will be part of every participating crew, bringing another unique element to an international race of the Gulf 12 Hours calibre.
