21 teams preparing for 2024 Gulf 12 Hours

  • The Gulf region’s premier GT endurance race takes place on 15 December at Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi

  • A high-quality entry list already includes three previous winners, with more entrants expected

  • Seven top global sportscar manufacturers represented

A provisional list of 21 teams confirmed for the 2024 Gulf 12 Hours has been released as the grid for the iconic traditional end-of-season event in Abu Dhabi takes shape.

Seven of the world’s leading sportscar manufacturers – Aston Martin, Audi, Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren, Mercedes-AMG and Porsche – are represented by teams who have confirmed their presence at the 15 December race at Yas Marina Circuit.

The home of Formula 1’s Abu Dhabi Grand Prix has hosted 11 editions of the 12 Gulf 12 Hours editions so far, delivering with unparalleled facilities, excellent winter weather and the famous UAE hospitality.

The 2024 edition will see a return to the two-part format, with an opening eight-hour endurance section followed, after a two-hour break, by a four-hour sprint to the chequered flag, creating a second starting ceremony in the magical night atmosphere of Yas Marina Circuit.

At least 21 teams are planning to be on the grid, with additional competitors who will be in the region for the 6 Hours of Jeddah on 28-30 November still in the process of finalising their entries. The Gulf 12 Hours promoter expects final arrangements to be concluded in the next two weeks.

The provisional teams list includes former winners Kessel Racing, AF Corse and 2 Seas Motorsport, who between them have won nine of the 12 editions of the Gulf 12 Hours.

Driver line-ups will be confirmed in the coming weeks, according to new regulations which will ensure a gentleman driver is part of the overall winning crew. In keeping with Gulf 12 Hours heritage and philosophy, teams are no longer permitted to enter all-professional crews.
